Cocker Spaniel
The Cocker is a compact, nicely balanced dog. Its facial expression shows intelligence and alertness and its eyes should be dark. Working Cockers can be any of a wide variety of colours, they come in a solid colour, where white is restricted to only the chest, parti-colour, and roan.
Cockers are well-known for their friendly nature. They can be faithful, playful, quiet, and affectionate. They are easily trained and make a good medium-sized family pet and they will sometimes bond to one person in a family.
Scientists have known for some time that there is a link between coat colour and temperament with the Cockers with a solid coat being more agressive.
Cuban authorities train English Cocker Spaniels as sniffer dogs to check for drugs or food products in passengers' baggage at airports in Cuba.
